RULES AND CONDITIONS

  1. Calves born on or after 1st July 2023
  2. Competition is open to fully paid up members by the 1st February 2024 of the Northern Ireland Blonde Cattle Club
  3. Competition will run as a series of qualifying classes at participating shows listed below. From each Show the two highest placed animals, not previously qualified, born on or after the 1st July in the year prior to the Show, will be eligible to take part in the final
  4. The final will staged at Clogher Valley Show, Wednesday 31st July 2024
  5. Prize money will only be payable at the final stage of the competition
  6. All entries must be owner bred
  7. Pedigree Certificates must be made available to any NI Club Committee Member prior to showing in qualifier and/or final. It is the responsibility to ensure the pedigree certificate and online datebase are correct
  8. Attendance money will be given to those who exhibit their qualified calf/calves for judging at the final
  9. Participating Shows: Ballymena, Lurgan, Ballymoney, Armagh, Saintfield, Newry, Omagh, Castlewellan, Antrim and Clogher Valley. (Balmoral in National Show years)

RODGER JOHNSTON CONTRACTS SHOW HERD OF THE YEAR 2024
Rules:

  1. Competition open to fully paid up members by the 1st of February 2024 of the NI Blonde Cattle Club
  2. Competition will be judged on a points Basis
  3. 10 points awarded for the first Blonde animal presented at each show followed by 5 points for the next two animals. Max points that can be awarded for turnout of cattle at any show is 20 points.
  4. There are twelve Shows throughout the year. Points will be counted for ten shows only. If more than ten shows are attended by a competitor the ten best points totals will be added together for the final total
  5. You will only be awarded points for your TOP THREE PLACED BLONDE CATTLE at any show. Pairs and Interbreed classes are not counted. Animals entered in multiple classes will only be awarded points for their highest place Points awarded will be as follows:
    5 points awarded for 1st placing; 4 points awarded for 2nd Placing; 3 points awarded for 3rd placing; 2 points awarded for 4th placing; 1 point awarded for 5th placing
    Champion will be awarded 2 points and Reserve Champion 1 point
  6. Participating Shows: Balmoral, Ballymena, Lurgan, Ballymoney, Armagh, Newry, Saintfield, Omagh, Castlewellan, Antrim, Clogher Valley, Fermanagh
  7. Points will be allocated from shown animal(s) to the herd they are registered to on the Society database (either British or Irish) on the day of showing. It is the exhibitor’s responsibility to ensure the online database is correct.

ODDBALL ENGINEERING CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS
Rules:

  1. The Oddball Engineering Perpetual Challenge Cup will be presented to the Club Member(s) whose animal wins the most individual Blonde Breed Championships at the following Shows throughout the year
  2. Participating Shows: Balmoral, Ballymena, Lurgan, Ballymoney, Armagh, Newry, Saintfield, Omagh, Castlewellan, Antrim, Clogher Valley, Fermanagh
  3. In the event of a tie the cup will be shared.
  4. If a competitor is appointed as Breed Judge, then no points will be awarded at that day
  5. The animal must be registered to the Club Member on the Society database. It is the exhibitor’s responsibility to ensure the online database is correct

Should any dispute arise for which no specific rule is provided, such matter in dispute shall be referred to the club committee in writing, whose decision will be binding and in no case can there be an appeal.

No entries permitted on day of event.
