42: Race Horse to Riding Horse

Thoroughbred Mare/Gelding, 4 years and upwards, named with Weatherby's raced including Point to Points or Track. Passport and racing details must be produced on the day of the show. Ridden in a Snaffle, Pelham or Double Bridle. All animals must be plaited . Judged on Manner, Ride and Confirmation, with emphasis on manners and training. Each competitor will give a short show consisting of walk, trot, canter on correct leg, gallop, halt and stand still (approx 5secs)

All entries should be on the field by 8am for judging to commence at 9.30am
NOTE - In Classes 1 to 100 no prize will be awarded in respect of any animal, which in the opinion of the Society's Honorary Veterinary Surgeons, is not sound
In the Event of Insuffient Entries Classes May be Suitably Amalgamated

  • YOUNG HANDLER IN HAND PONIES

RING 3: (Classes 69-71, 73-85) Judging commencing at 9.30am

RING 4: (Classes 34-43) Judging commencing at 9.30am

  • RIDDEN HORSES

RING 5: (Classes 45-49 & Class 72) Judging commencing at 10.30am SHARP

  • WORKING HUNTER HORSES
  • CLASS 72 RIDDEN CONNEMARA OUGHTERARD QUALIFIER (Judged after all Showing Classes and Working Hunter Horse Classes are finished)

RING 6:(Classes 87-92) Judging commencing at 10am SHARP

All Ridden Horses to be Four years old and above
